The Scion of Balance

"I have lived through the countless ages, watching man wage war with both themselves and the world upon which they live on. At long last, I tired of their violence and hatred and decided to begin anew. It was then I decided to create my perfect world....

"However, man is absolutely essential in order for a god to exist; I could not simply wipe them all from my vision. They needed to be regulated by a judge without emotion or bias, by a being beyond pettiness. What humans needed was a goddess who was both lenient and merciless.

"I chose not to carve her in my own image; I had made that mistake before. I also chose not to place her amongst the common men; her purity must not be tainted! Additionally, she must bear the knowledge of both the past and the future if she is to rule justly. Thus, I carved into her body the rune-work of the Universe, weaving into her the very fabric of reality.

"However, what is a queen if she must rule from afar? I eventually decided that she must sit upon the highest peak of the Earth, surrounded by her wings of ether, and both coveted and protected by her armies of Vanguards and Arstigans. From her throne she could watch the world safely and in peace. I, too, can rest in peace as long as she holds the world together with her strength.

"Now all that was left is to give her a name so that man could worship her. I shall call her Krim Karin Sai Duesti, the Scion of Balance."
